how do I keep my spirits up??!
« on: October 09, 2018, 04:04:08 pm »
I have been living with melanoma for a while now, and I am having issues staying positive. I have young children who do not know about my cancer, and I would like to keep it that way. The only person who knows is my wife and it is taking a toll on me. How can I keep my spirits up during this grueling process?

Hi Tim, sorry to hear about your difficulty coping with your cancer diagnosis. i suggest you find something to distract away from the cancer. Maybe sign up for some meditation or yoga classes, or other kinds of physical activity if you’re not already doing so. The best thing you can do for yourself when dealing with cancer is to be active and eat healthy, so this will distract you and benefit your diagnosis. MAddie, thank you for the advice. I ended up sharing with everyone about the cancer and it was the best decision I could have made. I have appreciated everyone so muhc more, and I feel they have had the same effect. If anyone is going though a confusing time about whether or not they should share their news with their family, do it. A weight will be lifted off your shoulder :)
