liver cancer with hep c
« on: August 14, 2018, 03:47:11 pm »
I was recently diagnosed with liver cancer after living with hep C. I knew this was a possibility, but I was hoping to beat the odds. Anyone going through the same diagnoses, how are you dealing with this? I am super nervous and could use advice.

hi - im sorry to here about you’re recent diagnosis. i know receiving the news can be scary and dishartening, especially after being cured of hepc. i think the best thing u can do is live every moment of every day 2 the fullest and 2 have a proactive mindset. their are many resources on ch’s  website that can help ease some of the stress and uncertainty of cancer. it is important to educate yourself on liver cancer by taking advantage of hour resources. firstly, i suggest u read our page on the basics of liver cancer (https://www.cancerhealth.com/basics/health-basics/liver-cancer). i also suggest u keep up with our daily postings an take advantage of the search option on the website 2 find information specific to liver cancer. for instance, last year we posted article discussing the fdas approval of Opdivo, an immunotherapy treatment for those suffering from liver cancer as a result of hepc (https://www.cancerhealth.com/article/fda-approves-immunotherapy-liver-cancer) if for some reason you’re oncologist hasnt discussed this treatment w u, this is something u can ad to ur list of questions for ur oncologist at ur next appt
