starting a family while living with cancer
« on: August 23, 2018, 02:29:44 pm »
I have been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer recently and I am not taking it well, especially since I feel as though I am just getting my life started. My wife and I recently bought a house together and were hoping to have a child soon, but I do not know if starting a family is appropriate or feasible right now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Im sorry about your recent diagnosis. Personally I think this is something that is nearly impossible to give advice on. Your cancer journey can be very personal and I think it is a decision you two should come to together.

That sucks Matt. Hoping whereever this spread is treatable. I've read can be tricky depending on where it went. Until you get all the facts i wouldn't make any quick decisions. Work through with your support team and then with all the info in front of you figure out next steps.

I'm sending good vibes your way. Hoping it all works out.
