Title: flu shot season

Hi all I have stage 1 liver cancer and I have surgery coming up. I know its rare but the doctors think they may be about to get it. Before I get my surgery Im just wondering is it a good idea to get a flu shot? I plan to ask my doctor at my next appointment but I wouldnt mind yalls opinion

I am not 100% positive but I think it is important to get your flu shot specially when you have cancer. Your immune system is already low when you you start treatment so it important to do what you can..

If you are not in treatment right now, it is the perfect time for you to get the flu shot. You have a much higher chance of getting infect when you are trying to fight the cancer off, so it is important to do what you can!
