Post by: SueV74 on July 30, 2018, 10:19:51 am
my father has stage 4 melanoma and he has been on immunotherapy for a few months now. so far their has ben no change with the tumors, and they actually found more cancer cells on him. is it worth continuing this treatment method? does anyone have any other recommendations?

hi sue - sorry to hear that the immunotherapy isn’t working as successfully as you had hoped for your father. there have actually been multiple studies performed proving that chemotherapy cannot always help those in late stages of cancer. while this isn’t the case for everyone, it could be possible for your dad given that he has not seen positive results in the few months he’s been onit. i woud definitely suggest talking to his oncologist about this as there may be a more effective treatment out there for him.
