Title: Wife of prostate cancer patient, blog rec
Post by: stopcancer28 on December 02, 2020, 12:21:55 pm
have been on this site for awhile because my husband went through treatment a about a year ago and is now on the road to recovery! for anyone else who is (or whose loved one is) going through treatment and looking toward the future, I found a great blogger on CH who has been living with prostate cancer for 10 years now. It's helpfulfor them to read from the perspective of someone who has a long history with the disease and is very realistic, but hopeful. https://www.cancerhealth.com/blog/decade-living-prostate-cancer (https://www.cancerhealth.com/blog/decade-living-prostate-cancer)

For any other wives out there, Fans For The Cure just started support group specifically for women who have a partner living with prostate cancer.

In our conversations with families who are journeying with prostate cancer, we often hear how women in their lives have little or no support for the stress and challenges that they face in supporting their loved ones. In the months since COVID-19 spread across the globe, we have come to realize that this lack of support has created even more stress and difficulties for those women who are an integral part of a man’s prostate cancer journey.
